Chenille Saunders, a nationally renowned coloratura soprano, recording artist, motivational speaker and entertainer enlightens many on and off stage with her bright personality and extensive vocal and acting talent. With her 4 ½ octave range she captivates audiences and composers alike. She is so diverse in her repertoire that she is known for performing tunes from all genres, her favorite being Broadway Musical Theatre, and Gospel Opera. Her deep love for song and stage are notably evident.
As a professional performer Chenille has distinguished herself in a variety of roles on a consistent basis, including such roles as Anna in the ‘King & I’, Eliza Doolittle in ‘My Fair Lady’ and Celine Dion in ‘The American Icon Review’. In 2003 she established Center Stage Music School which has helped hundreds of people develop musical talents as well as gain a love for the theatre.
With an interest in helping her community even more she helped bring an old auditorium/theatre “back to life,” which in turn provided a way for her to start a community theatre. Now Chair of Hancock Performing Arts, she is providing her community and the tourism department a way to thrive on the map as well as on the stage!
While exploring ways to enhance others talents and opportunities Chenille started the ‘Tri-State Star Search Competition’, she encouraged talents from three different states to come together to learn and grow from their competition experience. Due to her extensive performing and traveling schedule she is organizing a committee to oversee and continue the marketing, promotions and general upkeep of this profit making event.
Now Chenille has taken her knowledge and experience to new heights. She shares her knowledge and experience of music, the arts, and how to start your own music business. She shares her techniques with hundreds around the nation in workshops helping those who are seeking a successful career in the music and entertainment business.
Chenille recorded her latest CD entitled “I Believe in Christ” with world renowned concert pianist Marvin Goldstein. She also has CD’s entitled “Christmas Hwy 136,” & DVD “The Christmas Wish,” along with various other recordings. While she is not on stage she and her husband Matt, live in Illinois where they are raising their 3 beautiful children, James, Sophia and Mandolin.
